Dr. Gordana Ilic
Serial entrepreneur with 15 years of experience in driving innovation in sustainability.
Prior to BetterSea, Gordana served as Maersk's Head of Decarbonisation Innovation Portfolio, setting and executing innovation strategy for decarbonising the company to 2040. Her past experience includes working with Forbes 500 companies on their digital transformation projects, including the creation and full execution of the first Microsoft for Startups sustainability-focused program in SEA and GrowthX program in MENA. She holds PhD in Chemistry for green energy applications from NTU, Singapore.
Maximilian Schroer
Change maker with 10 years of experience in driving decarbonisation in maritime.
Prior to BetterSea, Max led Maersk's Compliance Strategy and Implementation projects for CII, EU ETS, FuelEU, the Clean Shipping Act, and air emissions. His past experience includes leading energy efficiency projects with corporates at PricewaterhouseCoopers and spearheading maritime research, including techno economic implications of decarbonisation regulations on container shipping and alternative propulsion and fuel technologies. He holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Ruhr University Bochum, Germany.
